Arusha, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arusha → Tarangire National Park → Ngare Sero / Karatu

Depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and many bird species. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. In the late afternoon, drive to Ngare Sero / Karatu area for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Ngare Sero / Karatu → Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, driving through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy en-route wildlife viewing as you enter the Serengeti plains, home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and vast herds of grazing animals. Afternoon game drive in Serengeti before dinner and overnight at a camp or lodge in Serengeti.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park → Karatu

Early morning game drive in Serengeti when predators are most active, followed by breakfast. Continue with a short game drive before departing Serengeti and driving back toward Karatu. Arrive in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Karatu → Ngorongoro Crater → Ngare Sero / Karatu

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife areas. Enjoy a game drive on the crater floor, spotting lions, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater rim and return to Ngare Sero / Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Ngare Sero / Karatu → Lake Manyara National Park → Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, groundwater forest, and beautiful scenery along the Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy a game drive and lunch, then drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
