This 2-day Tanzania safari combines two of the country’s most iconic wildlife destinations—Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater—making it ideal for travelers with limited time who still want a rich safari experience. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife, while the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, including the Big Five. The safari includes game drives in a 4x4 safari vehicle, an overnight stay in Karatu, and breathtaking scenery throughout.

Arusha Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arusha - Tarangire National Park - Ngare lodge

Depart early from Arusha/Moshi and drive to Tarangire, famous for its huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park, then drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at a Ngare lodge

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater: Arusha

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s best wildlife destinations. The crater floor hosts an incredible concentration of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch before ascending the crater rim and returning to Arusha/Moshi in the late afternoon.
